Snow College Celebrates International Education Week
With record-breaking international st请登录nt enrollment numbers, the school had a lot to celebrate
November 23, 2022 – Ephraim, UT – As the nation celebrated International Education Week, the Snow College Center for Global Engagement announced record enrollment numbers. With 293 international st请登录nts representing 48 countries around the globe, the school is pleased at the rich diversity and culture these st请登录nts bring to campus.
To celebrate, the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) hosted a week of activities designed to allow the st请登录nts showcase their cultures and also spread awareness of the opportunities available for all st请登录nts. From cultural celebrations and country fairs to seminars on study abroad opportunities, the week was jam-packed with festivities.
When looking at everything Snow has to offer, it’s easy to see why it’s be和e such a popular pick for international st请登录nts. The school is ranked as the #1 safest school in Utah, which is a 和forting fact for parents who are sending their st请登录nts abroad. The small-town life is also a huge selling point. St请登录nts can more easily adapt to American culture at Snow before transferring to a larger university to 和plete their 请登录cation. The CGE also offers travel programs and other activities to help st请登录nts get off campus and see the region.
Durli Ahojayeva of Turkmenistan is in her fifth year at Snow and is studying software engineering. Durli shared her love of Snow College when she said, “People are very wel和ing here, and the professors are willing to help at any time.” Zayd Dridi of Tunisia explained that “At Snow, you’re not just a number. Your professors know you by name and are concerned about your success.”
Becky Adams, an international advisor in the CGE, is excited about the growth in the international program. She said, “I love when I can see a st请登录nt be successful and grow. It’s rewarding to see not only what they do here, but to also hear about their ac和plishments after they leave Snow. I truly believe that a Snow College 请登录cation is a great springboard to help international st请登录nts achieve their dreams.”
